Bio
Mr. Prince is Vice President of DELANE Engineering, Inc., a civil engineering consulting firm for a variety of site development and public works clients, and Principal Engineer for the San Diego office. Mr. Prince joined DELANE in 2016 after serving 15 years with a major local consulting firm. Mr. Prince graduated Cum Laude and was awarded the Stone award for “Most Outstanding Civil Engineering Student” from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Mr. Prince is a licensed registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California and a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) registered through the State of California.
Areas of Specialization
Mr. Prince is experienced in a wide range of projects and client types including institutional, municipal, and military engineering, with a strong emphasis in Site BIM 3D based design and coordination and Design/Build project delivery methods. He specializes in grading, street improvements, retaining walls, fire site planning, open channel and pressure pipe hydraulics, hydrology, utility layout and design, pipeline rehabilitation, construction specifications, and other technical design calculations required for various types of land development and public works projects. He has served as lead engineer on projects in a sub-consultant role, as well as a prime consultant in charge of managing and coordinating large teams of disciplines, including landscape architects, surveyors, planners, environmental consultants, and electrical, mechanical, structural, hydraulic and geotechnical engineers. Highlight career projects include Chula Vista Fire Stations 5 & 9, SDSU Mission Valley and Aztec Stadium BIM, Alpine Boulevard Streetscape Improvements, SDSU South Campus Plaza, San Diego Airport Terminal 2 Parking Plaza Validation, Mission Beach Seawall and Boardwalk Replacement, Viasat Corporate Campus BIM, Francis Parker School Redevelopment, Miramar College Redevelopment Prop S&N Bond, UCSD Living and Learning Centers BIM.
